So, I love carbs.... yes, I said it. But I reeeeeaally try not to consume them. Just a little bit will create a huge craving problem. I really limit myself when it comes to potatoes as well. Seriously, as a child my favorite food was mashed potatoes.... lol!!
When I was a kid, my mom would make sweet potatoes in a way that it would taste more like candy..... than an actual vegetable :) So definitely try to avoid that.... because that is not what we are going for here!
Sweet potatoes are loaded with antioxidants, vitamins A, vitamin C, manganese and B Vitamins. They are considered a starch so ½ cup = 1 serving. Remember we are allowed 2 servings per day of starches.
