Queen Wa... Kwi No Wa...... Qui Noi Ya.....QUINOA!


No matter how you say it, Quinoa is awesome! It is rich in protein and fiber contents. It also contains plenty of manganese, magnesium, folate, and phosphorus. Quinoa will fall into the Breads and Starches Category and would be considered equilevant to cooked cereal. Medislim allows for 2 breads/starches per day so while this is considered a super food, just be sure to consume in moderation. I usually prepare quinoa (in a variety of flavors) with salmon.
